Over 270km of ski slopes within view of the Mont Blanc are available
for the novice and experienced skiers’ to enjoy. Cross-country skiing
slopes take you through pine forests and breathtaking scenery. You can
walk through the snowfields and discover the area by wearing snowshoes
or by taking a ride on a dog-sleigh.

In the summer, SamoŽns is a great place to practice mountain sports
such as mountain climbing and walking. There are over 72km of track for
mountain bikers’ with routes that twist and turn through the
countryside and forests. You can take a raft or a canoe down the Giffre
River or, if you prefer, follow the river on foot or on horseback. To
enjoy real birds’-eye view of the mountains, you can take to the air
with a delta-plane or a parachute.

SamoŽns is well known for its artistic and cultural heritage. You will
discover tiny unspoilt villages around the town with their chapels and
wayside shrines. The botanical garden "La Jaˇssinia" presents over 8000
mountain plants from all over the world amongst a magnificent woodland
setting with waterfalls and fountains.
For nature lovers' SamoŽns is an un-spoilt, pollution-free Garden of
Eden. The magnificent valley and mountains in and around SamoŽns are
home for an immense variety of flora and fauna.
